Orly private transfers: plan transportation around your trip
Traveling from Paris to Orly Airport (ORY), or heading into Paris after your flight? Taxis, private chauffeurs, public transportation, long-stay parking and shuttles serve different needs. Compare the total cost, comfort, connections, operating hours and luggage capacity before choosing.
This guide covers journey planning, taxi flat fares, chauffeur reservations, destinations, parking, nearby hotels and frequently asked questions for families, business travelers and groups. Transport and pricing information below was updated in October 2026; check the conditions applying on your travel date.
Journey time and a realistic buffer
As a rough planning estimate, a road journey from central Paris may take around 30–50 minutes, or around 20–40 minutes from southern Paris near Porte d’Italie or Porte de Choisy when traffic is light. These are not guaranteed times: rush hour, roadworks, accidents and restrictions on the A6, A106 or ring road can add substantial delays.
Allow an additional buffer, such as 30–45 minutes when appropriate, and adjust it to traffic conditions and your airline’s instructions. Add time to reach the terminal, check bags and pass security. Even for an early departure, check your route and possible closures.
Paris taxi flat fares between Paris and Orly
For direct trips between Paris and Orly in either direction, the official 2026 flat fares are €45 for the Right Bank and €36 for the Left Bank. Paris taxi reservation supplements are €4 for an immediate booking and €7 for an advance booking. A €5.50 passenger supplement may apply from the fifth passenger. These rules are not a private chauffeur price list.
See the official Service Public information on 2026 taxi fares. For an address outside Paris or a different itinerary, confirm the applicable fare.
Taking a taxi at the airport
Follow “Taxis” signs to the official arrivals-level taxi ranks. Access points and doors can change, so follow airport information and signs on the day. Avoid people soliciting passengers inside the terminal away from the official queue. Check for taxi equipment, including a roof sign and meter.
A taxi can be convenient without advance booking, subject to availability and the queue. Confirm your destination and payment arrangements before departure. Access to reserved lanes depends on current signs and rules and does not guarantee a traffic-free journey.
Private chauffeur service: comfort and personalization
Advance booking helps organize an early departure, business trip or family journey. The price is agreed for the confirmed itinerary and services. Ask about extra waiting, address changes, additional stops and flight delays.
Specify your preferred vehicle category, luggage assistance and arrival welcome. A van can suit groups or bulky luggage; confirm its actual capacity with suitcases, strollers and child seats. Amenities, Wi-Fi, the driver’s language and a name-sign welcome should be included in the agreed service details.
Standard, premium sedan, van and prestige categories have different prices. A general estimate is not a quote: provide the address, terminal, date, time and passenger count for an accurate price. Explore our fleet and chauffeur services.
Destinations to and from Paris-Orly
Paris and railway stations
Requests may include the Champs-Élysées, Opéra, Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur, the Latin Quarter, Montparnasse, the Eiffel Tower, Trocadéro, Porte d’Orléans and Porte de Gentilly. Provide the exact hotel, home or meeting address.
Rail connections can be arranged to Gare de Lyon, Bercy, Austerlitz, Montparnasse, Gare du Nord, Gare de l’Est, Saint-Lazare, Massy TGV, Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy and Aéroport Charles-de-Gaulle 2 TGV. Allow for disembarkation, baggage collection and the train boarding deadline.
Île-de-France, airports and longer journeys
La Défense, Versailles, the Villepinte exhibition center, Disneyland Paris, Stade de France, Fontainebleau and Massy-Palaiseau are destinations for which you can request a quote. Inter-airport transfers may involve CDG, Paris-Le Bourget, Beauvais-Tillé, Paris-Saclay-Versailles or Paris-Villaroche, depending on your needs and authorized access.
For Lille, Reims and Champagne, Tours and the Loire Valley, Le Mans, Rouen or Normandy, request a long-distance proposal specifying the route, breaks, luggage and any return trip. Do not assume a connection is feasible without checking the full journey.
Long-stay parking: walk, shuttle or valet
Nearby airport parking does not always require a shuttle. According to the official Extime guide, P1 and P2 serve Orly 1 and 2 in particular, P3 provides walking access to Orly 1, 2 and 3, and P4a, P4b and P4c are close to Orly 4. P ECO and P ECO 2 provide a free shuttle; allow for the journey and waiting time.
Prices vary with dates, duration, facility and reservation conditions. Compare a quote for your dates instead of relying on an old weekly estimate. Use the official Orly parking guide to choose according to your terminal and access needs.
A private parking provider or valet service may reduce walking, but check key handover, hours, insurance, cancellation terms and late-return charges. Include fuel and tolls when comparing costs: several days of parking are not automatically cheaper than two chauffeur transfers.
Hotels near the airport
Staying near Orly can simplify a very early departure. Choose according to your actual terminal, flight time, luggage and group size. Hotels in Cœur d’Orly, Rungis, Athis-Mons and Paray-Vieille-Poste do not all have the same access arrangements.
Before booking a Novotel, ibis, ibis Styles, Mercure or another hotel, check its exact name and address. Ask whether access is on foot, by tram or by shuttle; whether the shuttle costs extra; its first and last departures, stop location and reservation requirements. Confirm breakfast, restaurant service, parking, Wi-Fi, leisure facilities and family arrangements separately instead of assuming every hotel in a brand offers the same amenities.
Public transportation: metro 14, Orlyval, tram and bus
Orlybus stopped running on March 3, 2025. RATP gives an approximate 25-minute journey between Châtelet and the airport on metro line 14, excluding walking and waiting. Another option is the RER B to Antony followed by Orlyval: the RER B does not directly serve Orly’s terminals.
In 2026, the Paris Région–Aéroports ticket costs €14 at full fare or €7 at the reduced fare, subject to eligibility. It covers Orly access by metro 14 or Orlyval and permitted connections. If you already have a pass, check its coverage.
Tram T7 serves the airport from Villejuif–Louis Aragon. Bus 183 serves Orly from the Marché International de Rungis area, rather than the former direct route described from Porte de Choisy. The full-fare Bus-Tram ticket is €2.05 in 2026; connections with metro or RER services may require another ticket. Check official alternatives to Orlybus and airport ticket conditions.
These options can be economical for a solo traveler with light luggage. Check first and last departures, engineering work, accessibility, walking and connections. With several bags, children or a tight schedule, compare the entire journey rather than only the time onboard.
Choosing between a taxi, chauffeur, parking and shuttle
- Taxi: useful for departure from an official rank without booking, with variable waiting and regulated fares.
- Private chauffeur: suited to advance planning, a personalized welcome and a vehicle selected for passengers and luggage.
- Parking: an option when you prefer your own car; compare the total stay cost and terminal access.
- Public transportation or shuttle: compare the per-person price, hours and connections. A hotel or parking shuttle does not necessarily run on the same schedule as the metro.
Frequently asked questions about Orly Airport
Can you take or reserve a taxi?
You can join the official queue without a reservation or book through an operator. The reservation supplements above may apply. Confirm payment arrangements and mention any special requirements before departure.
Which parking option is cheapest?
No single answer applies to every date. Compare Eco parking, nearby facilities and private providers for your exact duration, including additional charges. Also check security arrangements and insurance conditions for the chosen offer.
Are hotel shuttles free?
This depends on the hotel and your booking. Obtain written confirmation of hours, price and pickup point. Plan an alternative if your flight leaves too early or arrives late.
How early should you arrive before your flight?
Follow your airline’s instructions first, especially check-in and bag-drop deadlines. Allowing 2 hours 30 minutes for a European flight or 3–3 hours 30 minutes for a long-haul flight can be a planning reference, but formalities, crowds and assistance needs may require more time.
Where does the driver pick up and drop off passengers?
The driver uses authorized areas according to the terminal and traffic rules. Confirm the meeting point, the procedure after baggage collection and any waiting or parking charges. Do not assume every drop-off or wait is free.
Which vehicle suits 5–8 passengers?
Request a van or an arrangement suited to the group. Capacity depends on the model, suitcases and child seats; a vehicle advertised for 8 passengers does not guarantee room for 8 large suitcases. The quote should specify the category, confirmed capacity and trip price.
