Paris–Monaco: Planning Your Journey and Transfers in Paris

A journey between Paris and Monaco involves more than the main train or flight. You also need to arrange your departure from home or your hotel, reach the station or airport with your luggage, and plan your return.

First Class Partner helps you with the Paris part of your journey, providing pre-booked transfers in Paris and the Île-de-France region. This article covers those journeys; it does not offer a local chauffeur service in Monaco.

Flying to Monaco: arriving in Nice

Monaco has a heliport, but no airport for fixed-wing aircraft. For scheduled flights from Paris, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is the main gateway to the Principality. You will then need to arrange your onward journey to Monaco by road or, depending on your booking, by helicopter.

Cannes-Mandelieu Airport mainly serves leisure and business aviation. It is not the usual arrival airport for a Paris–Monaco journey on a scheduled airline service.

First Class Partner provides your transfer at the Paris end of the journey, to or from Orly or Charles de Gaulle according to your ticket. The journey between Nice and Monaco must be arranged separately with a suitable provider.

Reaching your station or airport from Paris

Your departure point depends on your booking and chosen connections. Before booking your chauffeur, check the station or airport shown on your ticket, your departure time and your transport operator’s recommendations.

For a rail journey via the French Riviera, your itinerary may start at Gare de Lyon. Check your booking for the connections needed to reach Monaco–Monte-Carlo.

Your transfer can start from your home, hotel, workplace or another address in Île-de-France. Allow sufficient time for traffic, luggage and the formalities required before departure.

Planning your arrival in Paris after a stay in Monaco

Booking your return transfer in advance helps you organize the onward journey to your destination in the Paris region.

When requesting your transfer, please provide:

  • Your travel date and train or flight number.
  • Your arrival station or airport.
  • Your destination address.
  • The number of passengers and amount of luggage.
  • Any specific requirements, such as a child seat, bulky luggage or assistance that needs to be discussed.

The meeting point and pickup arrangements are specified when you book. If your itinerary changes, inform First Class Partner so that any possible adjustments can be checked.

Connecting in Paris: allow enough time

Your journey may include a connection between a station and an airport, or between two locations in the Paris region.

The time required is not limited to the drive itself. You also need to allow for leaving the train or aircraft, collecting luggage where necessary, traffic and the formalities for your next departure.

Before booking two separate tickets, check that the connection allows sufficient time. A chauffeur transfer cannot guarantee that you will make an excessively tight connection.

Choosing a vehicle for your passengers and luggage

A saloon may suit solo travelers, couples or business travelers, depending on the amount of luggage.

A van offers more space for a family or group. Vans generally accommodate up to seven passengers, with an eight-passenger configuration available on request and subject to availability. Actual capacity must always be confirmed taking suitcases into account.

Please mention pushchairs, special equipment and child-seat requirements when booking.
