Discover Paris with a private chauffeur
Paris brings together major monuments, historic neighborhoods, museums, gardens and shopping streets. A private city tour lets you choose the sights that matter to you and coordinate the journey with hotel pickup, photo stops and time on foot.
First Class Partner offers tailored transport for solo travelers, couples, families, friends and professional groups. The itinerary, vehicle, duration and any guide are agreed in advance. A panoramic tour is primarily an exterior overview: museum admission, monument interiors and rooftop visits require separate planning and tickets unless expressly included.
The monuments and neighborhoods to consider
- Palais Garnier: admire the ornate opera house associated with The Phantom of the Opera. An interior visit or performance must be booked separately and is subject to availability.
- Place Vendôme: its classical façades, luxury jewelers and Vendôme Column make it a distinctive stop. The central monument is a column, not an obelisk. See our Place Vendôme guide.
- Palais Royal: discover the former palace’s gardens, arcades and courtyards on foot where access permits.
- The Louvre: view the palace exterior, glass pyramid and Carrousel area. The Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo are inside the museum and require a dedicated visit.
- Île de la Cité and the Conciergerie: explore the historic setting of the former royal palace and prison associated with Marie Antoinette, then admire Notre-Dame’s Gothic architecture.
- The Marais: consider a walk around Place des Vosges, Hôtel de Sully, galleries, shops and cafés in this historic neighborhood.
- The Latin Quarter and Sorbonne: discover the university district, older streets, bookshops and cafés. The Sorbonne is not an unrestricted walk-in attraction. See our Latin Quarter guide.
- The Panthéon and Luxembourg Gardens: combine an exterior view of the national mausoleum with a garden walk. The Luxembourg Gardens are a major historic garden, not Paris’s largest park.
- Saint-Germain-des-Prés: explore literary cafés, galleries and nearby Saint-Sulpice. Time for walking and café stops should be included in the schedule.
- Institut de France and Musée d’Orsay: view the institute, founded in 1795, and the former railway station housing the Orsay collections. Impressionist artworks require a museum visit; they cannot be seen from the vehicle.
- Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe: follow a major historic axis. A climb to the Arc’s terrace requires admission and extra time.
- Les Invalides: admire the complex and dome. Napoleon’s tomb and museum collections are separate interior visits.
- Eiffel Tower and Montmartre: arrange Eiffel Tower photo viewpoints and, if the schedule permits, a separate visit to the Sacré-Cœur area and artists’ streets. Tower ascent tickets and Montmartre’s walking sections need planning.
A tailored journey
Your chauffeur handles the agreed road itinerary and pickup arrangements. Request a suitable language, child seats, luggage space and mobility accommodations before booking. Language availability and vehicle equipment are confirmed in the quote.
A chauffeur is not automatically a qualified museum or monument guide. A guide-conférencier can be requested as a separate option for more detailed commentary and visits. Traffic, pedestrian areas, road restrictions and legal drop-off points can affect the route.

A five-hour Paris city tour
A five-hour tour offers an introduction to a selection of major sights. It is best suited to exterior views and a limited number of photo or walking stops. The full list below is a proposed route to adapt, not a guarantee that every stop and interior can be completed.
Begin at your agreed hotel or meeting point in Paris, in a vehicle appropriate for the group:
- Palais Garnier: an introduction to nineteenth-century Paris and the opera house exterior.
- Place Vendôme: classical architecture and the jewelry district.
- Palais Royal: gardens and arcades if a walking stop fits the schedule.
- Louvre exterior: palace façades and the glass pyramid.
- Conciergerie, Notre-Dame and Île Saint-Louis: river views and the historic islands, with walking time where agreed.
- Latin Quarter and Panthéon: the Sorbonne area and the national monument exterior.
- Luxembourg Gardens and Place de la Concorde: select a garden pause or continue the panoramic route depending on time.
- Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe: a drive along the avenue and a suitable exterior viewpoint.
- Grand Palais, Invalides and Eiffel Tower: finish with architectural views and an agreed photo stop.
What the private format offers
- A professional chauffeur and a vehicle reserved for your party.
- An itinerary adapted to your priorities within the booked time.
- Pickup and return at the agreed Paris addresses.
- An optional qualified guide at an additional charge.
- A practical overview to help you choose later museum and neighborhood visits.
Adding an interior visit means reducing other stops or extending the booking. Discuss the desired pace, walking ability and must-see sites before departure.

A ten-hour Paris city tour
A longer day allows more walking stops, a meal break and a broader selection of sights. It still cannot cover every Paris monument inside and out. The route is organized around ticket times, opening hours, traffic and the group’s interests.
- Palais Garnier: an exterior stop or a prearranged interior visit.
- Place Vendôme: a walk around the square and its boutiques.
- Palais Royal: gardens, courtyards and arcades.
- Louvre exterior: the pyramid and palace courtyards; a full museum visit needs a separate time allocation.
- Conciergerie, Notre-Dame and Île Saint-Louis: historic riverfront areas and optional booked interiors.
- Latin Quarter and Panthéon: academic history and the Left Bank.
- Luxembourg Gardens, Tuileries and Concorde: select garden pauses according to the final route.
- Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe: allow extra time and a ticket if you want to visit the terrace.
- Grand Palais and Invalides: architecture, exhibitions or Napoleon’s tomb according to the chosen booking.
- Eiffel Tower: a photo stop, or a separately booked ascent that changes the rest of the day.
Inclusions and options to agree
The private format includes the transport and time specified in your quote, with pickup and return at the agreed locations. A qualified guide is optional and charged separately unless included in writing.
- Lunch: not included by default. Allocate a meal break and arrange restaurant reservations if needed.
- Admission: monument and museum tickets are not included unless stated. Timed entry and security queues remain applicable.
- Specific interiors: request Sainte-Chapelle, the Arc de Triomphe, Invalides, Palais Garnier or Conciergerie in advance. You cannot visit all these interiors in addition to the full panoramic route in one day.
- Pickup outside Paris: any additional charge and travel time are stated in the quote.
Shopping stops in Paris
Shopping can replace some sightseeing stops or form a separate itinerary. Check current store hours, appointment requirements and brand availability before travel.
Department stores
- Galeries Lafayette Haussmann: 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris. Known for its glass dome and a wide selection of fashion and luxury departments. The original guide highlights brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Gucci and Cartier; confirm the departments relevant to your visit.
- Printemps Haussmann: 64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris. A fashion and luxury shopping destination, with labels and concessions changing over time. Check the current directory for brands such as Saint Laurent, Prada, Fendi, Burberry or Balenciaga.
Fashion-house boutiques
- Louis Vuitton: 101 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris.
- Chanel: historic address at 31 Rue Cambon, 75001 Paris.
- Dior: 30 Avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris.
Confirm current visitor access, opening hours and appointments directly with each house. A chauffeur reservation does not provide exclusive store entry.
La Vallée Village
La Vallée Village is in Serris, near Disneyland Paris, at 3 Cours de la Garonne, 77700 Serris. It offers designer outlet shopping, with brands and collections varying. The original guide mentions Burberry, Chloé, Fendi, Gucci, Prada and Longchamp as shopping interests to check against the current directory.
The village advertises about 40 minutes from Paris and around 10 minutes from Disneyland Paris in favorable conditions. Actual road time can be longer. Options include a private vehicle, RER A to Val d’Europe, the Shopping Express from Paris and hotel shuttles arranged through participating Disney hotels. Check the official visitor information for current services and booking conditions.
Shopping at La Vallée Village is a regional excursion and requires additional time; it should not be added to a packed Paris tour without adjusting the program.

Excursions beyond Paris
Choose an extension based on geography, opening hours and your available time. These are alternatives or additions to a revised schedule, not automatic inclusions in the five- or ten-hour tours.
- Disneyland Paris: east of Paris, for a separately planned family day with park tickets and a suitable return time.
- Château de Fontainebleau: southeast of Paris, a former royal and imperial residence with historic apartments and gardens from several periods. The Grand Parterre is associated with André Le Nôtre and Louis Le Vau. See our Fontainebleau Palace guide.
- Barbizon: northwest of Fontainebleau at the forest’s edge, associated with nineteenth-century landscape painters including Jean-François Millet and Théodore Rousseau. Explore galleries and the village’s artistic heritage.
- Vaux-le-Vicomte: near Maincy, a seventeenth-century château and garden ensemble that influenced Versailles. Plan admission and enough time for the estate.

Hop-on, hop-off sightseeing buses
A shared sightseeing bus is another way to get an overview of Paris. Daytime hop-on, hop-off tickets allow boarding at the operator’s designated stops during the ticket’s validity and service hours. Night tours and special circuits may have different rules.
Operators
- Big Bus Paris: open-top sightseeing with routes serving major landmarks, recorded commentary and different ticket packages. Check the current map, validity, app information and whether a night tour is a separate product.
- Tootbus Paris: hop-on, hop-off sightseeing, multilingual audio and optional packages such as a Seine cruise. Stops, durations and departures depend on the current offer.
- Open Tour: this former brand became Tootbus Paris in 2021. It is not a separate third network. Old claims of four routes or more than 50 stops should not be used to plan a current trip.
What to compare
- Flexibility: the stops and operating hours available with your ticket.
- Views and weather: an open upper deck offers panoramic views; covered seating and facilities vary.
- Accessibility: check ramp access, wheelchair-space availability and any restrictions with the operator.
- Audio: confirm available languages and equipment.
- Attractions: a route may pass the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, Orsay or Grand Palais, but admission is separate unless the package explicitly includes it.

A private minibus for your group
A minibus can suit families, friends or colleagues who want to travel together on a tailored route. Configurations up to around 20 passengers may be available through an appropriately authorized transport operator. Confirm passenger seats, baggage space and any place needed for a guide.
Comfortable seating, air conditioning and an audio system depend on the vehicle. A multilingual audio guide is not automatically supplied. Request the equipment and language you need when booking.
The vehicle’s dimensions and Paris traffic rules determine access. Pedestrian streets and restricted areas may require walking from an authorized drop-off point. A minibus does not guarantee access to every narrow street or avoid crowds at monuments.
- Duration: a 1½–2-hour overview differs from the five- or ten-hour programs above; choose and price the intended format.
- Mobility: confirm the boarding arrangement, wheelchair accommodation and walking requirements.
- Price: depends on the group, vehicle, itinerary, duration and options.
- Privacy: the vehicle is reserved for your party under the agreed booking.
Read our minibus and group travel guide for capacity and booking details.

Build your Paris itinerary
Start with your priorities: architecture, museum interiors, history, gardens, shopping or a family-friendly overview. Select a few essential stops, then allow room for lunch, walking and traffic. An experienced chauffeur can coordinate the transport while a separately booked guide adds detailed cultural commentary.
The Eiffel Tower, Luxembourg Gardens, Montmartre and the Louvre offer very different experiences. Matching the route to your interests is more useful than trying to include every landmark in one day. Confirm tickets and opening times before fixing the final schedule.
