Traveling from Massy TGV to Paris-Orly Airport is a common connection for business and leisure passengers. The right option depends on your schedule, luggage, budget and willingness to change trains or buses. Plan the full connection, including the walk out of the station and your airline’s check-in and security deadlines.
Massy is also a starting point for journeys to Charles de Gaulle and Beauvais airports, Paris stations and nearby cultural destinations. This guide covers taxis, private chauffeurs, public transport, shuttles and driving, with ideas for a longer stay.
Distance and Travel Time
The road distance depends on the airport terminal and route. A drive of roughly 25–40 minutes is an indicative planning range, not a guaranteed transfer time. Congestion can extend it. Allow a separate margin for leaving your train, meeting your driver and reaching the correct terminal entrance.
1. Taxi from Massy
A taxi provides a direct journey to Orly, another airport or a Paris station. You may use an available official taxi or book ahead, which is useful for an early or late departure. Payment by bank card must be accepted.
Taxi fares follow regulated rules; they are not dynamically increased simply because demand is high. The applicable meter fare, traffic and authorized supplements determine the cost. A Massy departure does not automatically qualify for the Paris–Orly city-center fixed fare. Ask the provider for an estimate.
2. A Prebooked Private Chauffeur
First Class Partner can arrange a vehicle and pickup around your confirmed itinerary. A sedan may suit a smaller party, while a van may be more practical for families or colleagues with luggage. A particular model, SUV or onboard option must be confirmed according to availability.
- Price agreed for the confirmed journey and services.
- Pickup instructions arranged before arrival.
- Passenger and luggage capacity checked in advance.
- Child seats and other requests discussed when booking.
- Waiting arrangements and changes handled under the agreed terms.
Provide your train number, arrival time and a reachable phone number. Tell us which terminal you need and whether you have unusual luggage. Road conditions can still affect punctuality, so leave a realistic margin.
3. Public Transport from Massy
RER B and Orlyval via Antony
Walk to Massy-Palaiseau’s RER B facilities, take a Paris-bound train to Antony and change to Orlyval for Orly Airport. Include the walk from the TGV station, waiting and the change of train when comparing total travel time.
Check current tickets and service information on Orlyval’s official website and Île-de-France Mobilités. Orlyval normally advertises operation from 6:00 a.m. to 11:35 p.m., subject to works and disruption. RER B has its own timetable; neither part should be assumed to run all night.
Bus to Orly
Bus 5154 (formerly 91.10) connects Massy with Orly. Check the current route number, departure stop, airport terminal and date-specific timetable in the Île-de-France Mobilités journey planner, especially if services have been renumbered or diverted.
Charles de Gaulle Airport
RER B can connect Massy-Palaiseau with CDG. Check that the train serves the airport branch and allow sufficient time for the full journey and the walk to your terminal. Service changes can require a different itinerary.
Beauvais Airport
A rail itinerary can involve Paris Gare du Nord, a train to Beauvais and onward local transport to the airport. Airport coach services offer other options depending on their current departure points. Check the entire connection rather than treating Beauvais station as the airport terminal.
Other Paris Stations
Gare du Nord is on RER B. Gare de Lyon, Gare Saint-Lazare, Gare de l’Est and Montparnasse require a route planned for the destination and service conditions. There is no direct line N service from Massy-Palaiseau to Montparnasse. Use an up-to-date journey planner and account for stairs, walking and luggage.
4. Private Shuttles and Group Arrangements
First Class Partner offers private transfers reserved for your party, including vans for families and groups. Confirm passenger and luggage capacity, pickup location, price and any waiting arrangements before booking. This is a dedicated transfer, rather than a shared shuttle with fixed departures.
5. Driving or Renting a Car
A private or rental car gives flexibility but adds parking or rental-return time. Compare airport parking locations, prices and any shuttle requirements. Reserve where appropriate and check how to reach the terminal from the chosen facility. Include time for fuel or charging and the rental handover if applicable.
6. Sightseeing Around Massy and Paris
If you have a longer stay rather than a tight flight connection, you can plan a cultural stop or a separate excursion:
- Versailles: the palace, Hall of Mirrors and formal gardens. Plan the drive according to traffic and book the relevant admission.
- Parc de Sceaux: historic grounds, the château and museum, with space for a walk. Check access and exhibition opening times.
- Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris: a distinctive campus and architectural setting; check visitor arrangements for any specific building or guided visit.
- Central Paris: the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre-Dame, Champs-Élysées and Montmartre can form part of a planned city itinerary.
Agree on stops and waiting time before adding sightseeing to an airport transfer. Admission tickets and guided visits are separate unless explicitly included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which option is fastest?
A direct road transfer can be convenient outside heavy traffic, while rail can avoid road congestion. Compare the complete door-to-terminal journey for your date and time.
Are there shuttles from Massy to Orly?
Check the scheduled bus connection and any private service you are considering. A shared shuttle is not the same as a dedicated chauffeur booking.
Do RER B and Orlyval run late?
Check both timetables for your travel date. Orlyval’s normal advertised service ends at 11:35 p.m., and works may cause earlier closure. Arrange another option if your itinerary falls outside operating hours.
Should I book ahead?
A private chauffeur service requires advance booking. Booking early also helps organize a taxi, a larger vehicle or an unusual departure time, subject to confirmation.
What does a Massy–Orly transfer cost?
Request a current taxi estimate or a First Class Partner quote. Specify the terminal, pickup time, party size and luggage rather than relying on an old generic price range.
What if I have several large bags?
Consider walking and changes when using public transport. For a vehicle transfer, give the number and size of bags so that the capacity can be checked.
Can I consider lower-emission options?
Rail and shared public transport are options to compare. You can also request an electric vehicle, subject to availability. Do not assume every private transfer is a shared ride or has the same environmental impact.
