Orly Terminal 1: Plan a Comfortable Arrival or Departure

Traveling through Orly Terminal 1? This guide explains how to reach the airport, find your way around the terminal and arrange a transfer to Paris or another destination in Île-de-France. Whether you are traveling for business, visiting family or starting a vacation, planning your ground transportation can make your journey easier.

First Class Partner provides a private chauffeur service for Orly 1, 2 and 3, with advance booking, a suitable vehicle and a fare agreed before pick-up. We are available 24/7 by reservation.

Practical Information About Orly Terminal 1

Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) is south of Paris. Orly 1 is part of the airport’s connected passenger complex, alongside Orly 2, Orly 3 and Orly 4. Check your airline’s instructions and the airport’s current flight information before setting out: your check-in area, boarding gate and arrival exit can change.

  • For departures: identify your terminal and check-in area, then follow the signs for your airline.
  • For arrivals: collect your luggage, complete any required formalities and follow the meeting instructions supplied for your transfer.
  • For connecting flights: allow for walking, check-in deadlines, security and any border formalities. A connection involving separate tickets may require collecting and rechecking your bags.

Road access, parking entrances and professional pick-up areas have different signs. Give your driver the flight number and terminal, rather than relying only on a general airport address.

The Identity of Orly 1

Orly’s present terminal numbering dates from the airport’s reorganization in 2019. The former Orly West became Orly 1 and Orly 2, while the connecting building became Orly 3 and the former Orly South became Orly 4. This is why older travel information may refer to “Orly West” rather than Orly 1.

Today, travelers use a combination of connected terminal areas and signed ground transportation routes. Keep your current airline instructions as your reference instead of using an old terminal name.

Which Airlines Operate at Orly Terminal 1?

Airline assignments and check-in locations can change. Do not assume that an airline always uses the same terminal or that the airline selling your ticket is the airline operating your flight. Check the operating carrier, flight number and terminal on your booking and confirm them again before departure.

For an airport pick-up, send First Class Partner your flight number and scheduled arrival time. This helps coordinate your transfer with the actual arrival terminal and any changes to your flight.

How to Get to Orly Terminal 1

Metro Line 14

Metro line 14 serves Aéroport d’Orly, connecting the airport with major Paris interchange stations. From the airport station, follow the signs toward Orly 1 and allow time to walk to your check-in area. Check operating hours, planned works and airport ticket conditions before traveling.

RER B and Orlyval

Take the RER B to Antony, then change to Orlyval for the airport. Orlyval serves Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4. The RER B does not run directly into the Orly terminals, and the Antony–airport section of Orlyval has its own ticket conditions. Consult Orlyval’s official website for current service information.

Tram, Buses and Coaches

Tram T7 serves the airport near Orly 4; allow for the onward connection to Orly 1. Local bus and coach options depend on your starting point and travel date. Verify the actual stop, schedule and luggage policy with the operator.

Orlybus no longer operates: the service ended on March 3, 2025. Older directions referring to a direct Orlybus journey from Denfert-Rochereau should be replaced with a current itinerary.

Official Taxi

Use the official taxi stand and follow airport signage. Regulated flat fares apply to eligible direct journeys between Paris and Orly; they do not cover every destination in Île-de-France. Road journey times vary with traffic, so avoid treating a short estimate as a guaranteed arrival time.

Private Chauffeur or Prearranged Airport Transfer

A private car service to Orly Airport provides a direct journey from your hotel, home, office or train station. Confirm the passenger count, luggage and any child seat requirements when booking. Your chauffeur follows the applicable airport access and pick-up rules.

Driving and Parking

Use the airport’s current parking map to select a facility serving Orly 1. Compare walking routes, vehicle height limits, booking conditions and parking duration. Follow signs for the correct terminal and parking entrance rather than assuming that every airport parking facility is equally convenient.

Services and Amenities at Orly 1

Check-in, Security and Travel Documents

Check-in desks and self-service options depend on the airline. Follow your carrier’s recommended arrival time and baggage deadlines, allowing extra time during busy periods. Keep your identification, boarding pass and any required travel documents accessible. Security and passport checks can take longer than expected.

Shopping and Dining

Cafés, food outlets and shops provide options before your flight. Availability depends on the terminal area, opening hours and whether you are before or after security. Duty-free eligibility depends on your destination and applicable rules. Ask the establishment directly about dietary needs and allergens.

Connectivity and Information

Use airport flight displays and information points to confirm departure details. Wi-Fi and charging facilities can help you stay connected, but carry your own charger and avoid relying on an available power outlet at a particular seat.

Accessibility and Assistance

Request airport assistance through your airline in advance, preferably at least 48 hours before departure. Explain any mobility requirements when arranging your ground transfer as well: airport assistance and an accessible vehicle are separate services that must be coordinated.

Lounges and Additional Services

Lounge access depends on the lounge’s location, your airline, ticket or membership and current opening conditions. Check access before traveling. For services such as luggage storage or concierge assistance, confirm the provider’s exact location and availability rather than assuming they are offered inside Orly 1.

Hotels Near Orly Terminal 1

Choose a hotel according to your terminal, departure time and preferred access arrangements. Confirm the property’s current name and address; older listings may refer to a different hotel or outdated facilities.

Do not assume a hotel shuttle is free, operates around the clock or stops at every terminal. Check its schedule, reservation requirements and luggage capacity. A prearranged private transfer can be useful when the shuttle does not match your flight.

Practical Tips for Your Journey

  • Allow enough time: follow airline guidance and add a margin for traffic, terminal walking and security.
  • Check your baggage allowance: verify the operating airline’s cabin and checked baggage rules.
  • Confirm the terminal: review flight information again on the day of travel.
  • Prepare for connections: include baggage collection, terminal changes and check-in deadlines in your plans.
  • Share flight details: provide your chauffeur with the flight number and a reachable contact number.
  • Book the right vehicle: tell us about large suitcases, strollers, sports equipment and child seats.

Why Book a Private Chauffeur for Orly 1?

A reserved transfer simplifies your ground journey with a single vehicle and an agreed itinerary. First Class Partner can arrange a pick-up from your address or an airport Meet & Greet with a name sign, according to the confirmed booking instructions.

Flight tracking helps coordinate airport arrivals. Your chauffeur assists with luggage and guides you to the vehicle. Premium sedans, SUVs and spacious vans are available according to passenger count, luggage and availability. Onboard amenities depend on the selected vehicle.

The fare is communicated and agreed before pick-up. Tell us about additional stops or itinerary changes so their availability and any fare adjustment can be confirmed. For business meetings or several journeys, ask about our Dedicated Chauffeur Service.
